While serving as a long-term care administrator for over two decades operating both large assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, I have experienced firsthand the difficulties these facilities face when trying to deliver quality care. Much of the difficulty with these settings are centered around staff to resident ratios.
Practically speaking, even with the best caregiver, it is impossible to provide quality care with staffing ratios of 1 caregiver to 15 and even in some cases 30 or more residents. Smaller is better.......it is proven that lower staff to resident ratios provide better care outcomes and increased satisfaction with quality of life.

Victorious Assisted Living was developed from the idea that residents could enjoy the unique benefits of a larger facility while receiving the great care found in a small facility.

DEBRA CALLIS, RN
Wellness Director
Debra is responsible for providing clinical oversight in the community to ensure that each resident receives quality care. Debra is a registered nurse with extensive experience in post-acute care. She has worked most of her career as a rehab case manager and a director of nursing in rehabilitation hospitals and long-term care / skilled nursing facilities. Debra is a caring and systematic director who is also compliance driven.
DEXTER GUICE, MHA, LNFA
Administrator
Dexter is responsible for the overall daily operations of the community. Dexter is the founder and administrator of Victorious Assisted Living. He is a veteran long-term care administrator who has successfully operated large and small skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities. He has a huge heart for the aged and disabled population and works hard to promote their quality of life. He is a hands-on servant leader who truly cares about each employee and resident. Dexter has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the senior care industry and is committed to making a positive, lasting impact.
TINA JOSEPH
Director of Resident Services
Tina oversees resident services for the community and is one of our original team members. She is a dedicated and hardworking long-term care professional who has a heart of gold. Tina has successfully managed environmental services for large skilled nursing facilities since 2017. She takes pride in her work and strives to enhance each residents’ overall experience in the community.
